HPMC Grades Hydroxypropyl for Construction
1. Appearance: white or off-white powder.
2. Particle size: 100 mesh pass rate greater than 98.5%; 80 mesh pass rate greater than 100%.
3. Carbonization temperature: 280-300℃
4. Apparent density: 0.25-0.70/cm3 (usually around 0.5g/cm3), 5. Specific gravity 1.26-1.31.
6. Color change temperature: 190-200℃
HPMC grade hydroxypropyl swells in cold water to form a transparent or slightly turbid colloidal solution, and has the properties of thickening, bonding, dispersing, emulsifying, film-forming, suspending, adsorbing, gelling, surface activity, water retention, and protective colloid.
It is widely use in many fields like the following:
1.Spray coating: It has a good effect on preventing cement or latex spray material fillers from sinking and improving fluidity and spray pattern.
2.Cement and gypsum secondary products: It is used as an extrusion molding binder for hydraulic materials such as cement-asbestos, which improves fluidity and can obtain uniform molded products.
3.Fiber wall: Due to its anti-enzyme and anti-bacterial effects, it is effective as a binder for sand wall.
4.Others: It can be used as a bubble retainer for thin cement sand mortar and plastering operators.
