Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Industrial Grade Manufacturer
1. Appearance: white or off-white powder.
2. Particle size: 100 mesh pass rate greater than 98.5%; 80 mesh pass rate greater than 100%.
3. Carbonization temperature: 280-300℃
4. Apparent density: 0.25-0.70/cm3 (usually around 0.5g/cm3), 5. Specific gravity 1.26-1.31.

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Industrial Grade is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural high molecular weight cellulose through a series of chemical reactions. It is an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white powder.
It is widely use in many fields like the following:
1. Polymerization of vinyl chloride and vinylidene: As a suspension stabilizer and dispersant during polymerization, it can be used together with vinyl alcohol (PVA) and hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) to control the particle shape and distribution of particles.
2. Adhesive: As an adhesive for wallpaper, it can usually be used together with vinyl acetate latex paint instead of starch.
3. Pesticide: Added to insecticides and herbicides, it can improve the adhesion effect during spraying.
4. Latex: An emulsifying stabilizer for asphalt latex and a thickener for styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) latex.
5. Binder: As a molding adhesive for pencils and crayons.
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose features:
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white powder. There are two types: instant soluble hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and slow-soluble hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
Instant soluble hydroxypropyl methylcellulose:
It disperses quickly when it encounters cold water and disappears in the water. At this time, the liquid has no viscosity. After about 2 minutes, the viscosity of the liquid increases and forms a transparent viscous colloid.
Slow-soluble hydroxypropyl methylcellulose:
It can only be used in dry powder products such as putty powder and cement mortar. It cannot be used in liquid glue and paint, as it will clump together.
