Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a nonionic cellulose ether, white to off-white powder, which can be used as a thickener, adhesive, film former, surfactant, protective colloid, lubricant, etc.
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is made from refined cotton and dissolves in cold water to form a transparent colloid.
It is widely use in many fields like the following:
1.Construction industry: As a water retainer and retarder for cement mortar, Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose makes the mortar pumpable.
